Is A Budget For ME

In 2023, a report from LendingClub found that 62% of Americans—**including 40% of those earning over $100,000 a year—are living paycheck to paycheck.

How is that possible? How can someone make six figures and still be broke?

It’s simple: it's what most people do. Out of sight, out of mind.

Everyone is chasing the same American dream: the nice house, the fancy car, the “good job,” and all the hobbies. A motorcycle here, a dirt bike there… and of course, the boat and jet skis.

Don’t get me wrong—I have my hobbies too. But here's the truth: a budget isn’t like a diet where you're only allowed to eat a salad with no dressing.

What do I mean by that?

You can have it all and still live well. A budget doesn’t take your fun away—it gives you clarity. It tells your money where to go so that you can enjoy your life and afford it.

If you buy your dream home, you want to know you can pay the bills and buy groceries—without breaking into panic mode when the water bill shows up.Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

So what does it mean to “live”?

For me, it means traveling between Arizona and the far side of Colorado a few times a year to see family. It means going on adventures with friends—whether that’s a concert in Paris or a retreat with other financial coaches.

I want to be able to say, “I’ve got the money, now let’s GO!”

I don’t want my only vacation to be a monthly trip to Walmart.

Now, I’m asking you: What does it mean to YOU to “live”?

Send me your thoughts at KyleeOgden@Arctic-Rose.com—I’d love to hear what “living” means to you.

A budget is a map.

It’s drawn once, and then adjusted as you travel the road. It’s not something you need to spend hours on every month. Sure, some months you might need to look at it a little longer—move some things around, tweak and adjust as you start to dig out of debt.

But I know you can do it, I believe in you.

And if you need someone to walk with you—whether it’s making a budget or facing a big decision—I’m here.

Just send me an email, and we’ll travel the road together.
