Are You Interested… or Invested?
When it comes to your finances, there’s a question that can change everything:
Are you interested… or are you invested?
It might sound simple, but this question is at the heart of every major breakthrough. I’ve seen it in my own life, and in the lives of others I’ve coached or watched grow.
Because being interested is easy.
Being invested is what creates real, lasting change.
What Does It Mean to Be “Interested”?
You’re interested if you:
Read financial tips and scroll through budgeting advice on Instagram.
Follow financial coaches online and think, “Wow, I really need to get my money together.”
Daydream about being debt-free or having money in savings—but never take consistent steps to get there.
Start a budget on Sunday… and forget about it by Friday.
Interest is where we all start. It’s where the desire lives. But desire without commitment leads to frustration, shame, and starting over again and again.
What Does It Mean to Be “Invested”?
You’re invested when you:
Decide enough is enough—and you’re ready to take real action.
Budget even when it’s uncomfortable or overwhelming.
Ask for help instead of trying to DIY your way through financial stress.
Make the time, even when life is chaotic.
Put some skin in the game—your energy, your focus, maybe even your money—because you’re ready for the results that come with growth.
Being invested doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It means you’re willing to show up differently than you have before.
It’s about choosing growth over guilt, clarity over confusion, and progress over perfection.
Why It Matters
You cannot change what you tolerate.
And if you’re just “interested,” you’re still tolerating things that are keeping you stuck.
I don’t say that to shame you—not at all. I say it because I’ve been there.
I’ve tried to piece it all together alone.
I’ve started and stopped more than I care to admit.
And I’ve also learned the hard way that if I wanted different results, I had to make different choices.
I had to stop asking, “What’s the cheapest, easiest way to fix this?” and start asking, “What’s the most effective path forward?”
What Happens When You Get Invested
When you get invested, things shift:
You stop avoiding your bank account.
You gain confidence making decisions with your money.
You feel proud when you pay bills, build savings, and make a plan.
You stop living paycheck to paycheck.
You start building a life that reflects your values and goals—not just your circumstances.
It’s not magic. It’s commitment.
It’s support.
It’s showing up and doing the work.
So... Which One Are You?
Here’s a gentle gut-check:
Are you still dabbling in financial change?
Or are you committed to finally gaining control, peace, and freedom?
