How I’m Building Arctic Rose While Working 2 Jobs
The Real, Unpolished Journey of Building a Dream Before Life “Feels Easy”
People often think you need lots of free time, extra money, or perfect conditions to start a business.
But let me tell you the truth:
Most dreams are built in the middle of real life.
Not after things get easier — but while things are still hard.
I’m building Arctic Rose Financial Coaching while working two jobs.
I’m doing it after long days.
I’m doing it in-between responsibilities.
I’m doing it while being tired, stretched, learning, and growing.
And I want to share what that really looks like — not the polished version.
It Started with a Need, Not Convenience
I didn’t start Arctic Rose because everything was going well.
I started it because things weren’t.
Because:
I was tired of living paycheck to paycheck
I didn’t want to feel trapped by my job
I wanted to build something meaningful
I wanted security for my future and my children
I wanted to help others create peace in their finances
And what broke me the most was learning what was happening in my own community:
Elderly men and women — people who worked their whole lives — were surviving by eating cat and dog food because inflation had destroyed their ability to afford groceries.
That shattered me.
I remember thinking:
I cannot, in good conscience, let anyone live like this if I have the ability to do something about it.
Arctic Rose was born from that fire — from the deep knowing that no one deserves to feel unsafe, unseen, or financially trapped.
Not families. Not parents. Not retirees. Not anyone.
This business didn’t come from ease.
It came from purpose, compassion, and refusal to accept that “this is just the way things are.”
I Work My Jobs and I Build My Dream
Here’s the real rhythm of my days:
I show up to work
I come home tired
I take care of the things that must be done
I give myself a moment to breathe
And then I put in an hour, or even 20 minutes, into Arctic Rose
Some days that looks like:
Writing a blog post
Learning new coaching tools
Talking with someone who needs support
Organizing client materials
Updating my website
Creating something I know will help someone
Some days it’s small. Some days it’s more. But I move one step forward every time.
Progress isn’t measured in how much — It’s measured in consistency.
I Don’t Wait for Motivation — I Rely on Discipline
Motivation is great, but it comes and goes. Discipline is quieter. Steadier. More powerful.
Discipline sounds like:
“I’ll work on my dream even when I’m tired, because the life I want is worth it.”
And when discipline feels hard, I return to my why. Because this isn’t just about money.
It’s about:
Freedom
Peace
Security
Purpose
That’s worth working for.
I Give Myself Grace, Not Guilt
I am not perfect. There are days I don’t get anything done for the business. Days where I just don’t have the energy. Days where “surviving” is the win.
I don’t shame myself for that. I rest. And then I begin again.
Because building something meaningful requires compassion for yourself — not self-punishment.
Consistency isn’t about never stopping.
It’s about always returning.
I Invest Time Before I Invest Money
Since I don’t have extra money to throw around, I’m building with:
Time
Intentional learning
Creativity
Resourcefulness
The strategy is simple:
Learn → Apply → Improve → Repeat
This is what building from zero actually looks like.
And it works.
I’m Building Something Bigger Than Me
Arctic Rose is not just a business.
It’s:
A safe space for people who are overwhelmed by money
A guide for those who know there is more for their life
A place where financial growth is done with grace, God, compassion, and steady strength
A reminder that you don’t have to walk this alone
This is my heart work.
This is my calling.
This is my purpose.
And every late night… every step… every ounce of effort is building something real.
